Polysomnography (Sleep Study)
Our healthcare center now offers a new service to care for your sleep quality — from heart to heart. Polysomnography is a test that allows the study of sleep and the recording of bodily functions while the patient sleeps or tries to sleep. It is used to diagnose sleep disorders.
This test is usually performed while the patient sleeps at night. Typically, the patient must travel to a sleep center and stay there overnight. However, this change in environment and conditions may alter the results. At our IPS, the specialized team comes directly to the patient's home with all the necessary equipment to ensure accurate results and provide a reliable diagnosis.
Why Should You Take This Test?
Polysomnography helps diagnose potential sleep disorders, including obstructive sleep apnea. Your doctor may order this test if you experience symptoms like excessive daytime sleepiness, falling asleep during the day, stopping breathing while sleeping (apnea), gasping or choking in your sleep, loud snoring, or restless sleep.
You can access this service through your insurance plan or as a private patient. Book your appointment and let us care for you — from heart to heart — with the support of our team of professionals.
