Polysomnography (sleep study)

This test is done while the person sleeps at night. Generally, the patient must go to a sleep center and spend the night there, however, this change of place and conditions can cause alterations in the results. In the case of Cardiovida, the personnel specialized in this study goes to the patient's home with all the necessary equipment so that the results can be accurate and provide a safe diagnosis.

Why should you do this study?

Polysomnography helps diagnose potential sleep disorders, including obstructive sleep apnea. Your doctor may order this test if you have symptoms such as daytime sleepiness, meaning you fall asleep during the day, hold your breath while sleeping, followed by gasping or puffing, snore loudly, or have restless sleep.
